Our challenge
We are seeking a highly skilled Change Management Technical Project Manager to join our team within the Investment Banking/Wealth Management sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing change processes within large firms, specifically in a technical environment. Candidate will collaborate with Development, QA, and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth and efficient changes, while also engaging with stakeholders to facilitate effective release planning and execution.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
- Change Management Process:Lead and manage the change management process, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices in a large organizational setting.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams:Work closely with Development, Quality Assurance (QA), and Infrastructure teams to facilitate changes and ensure that all technical requirements are met during the change process.
- Release Planning & Strategy:Develop and implement comprehensive release planning and strategy, ensuring that all changes are planned, communicated, and executed effectively.
- Stakeholder Coordination:Coordinate with various stakeholders, including business units and technical teams, to plan and facilitate the execution of changes. Ensure that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Communication with Senior Stakeholders:Effectively communicate change plans, progress, and outcomes to senior stakeholders. Prepare and present reports that highlight key metrics and impact assessments.
- Runbook Management:Build, update, and maintain runbooks that document processes, procedures, and lessons learned from past changes. Ensure that runbooks are easily accessible and utilized by relevant teams.
You are:
- Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience in change management within large firms, preferably in the investment banking or wealth management industry.
- Technical Skills:Strong understanding of technical environments, with experience working alongside development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Project Management Skills:Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and impacts associated with changes.
- Tools and Technologies:Familiarity with change management tools and project management software.
- Experience in financial services, particularly in investment banking or wealth management.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to change management.
