Our challenge
As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, the candidate will be responsible to develop, institute, socialize and govern architecture strategies/blueprints and related frameworks. The role will also be engaged in architecting and designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements in support of a given portfolio of work and support the authoring of high level designs when required.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain domain architecture strategies, blueprint and roadmaps showing the evolution of systems from current to target state to meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives through documentation of systems, architectures, process flows and value-chain models.
- Participate in architecture consulting to enable design decisions, lead design sessions where appropriate, manage design tradeoff s between speed to market, financial and strategic impact, and support the successful implementation of initiatives.
- Act as a control function to ensure adherence of designs to blueprints, architectural principles and enterprise standards
- Support the compliance of designs to all relevant local laws and regulations.
- Identify risks to quickly resolve issues and conflicting priorities and influence a positive and effective outcome.
- Leverage technical expertise to support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions.
- Support the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate designs.
- Contribute to creation and evolution of architectural patterns, principles and guidelines.
- Support the execution of the architecture governance board.
- Provide inputs to annual financial planning & other related activities.
- Providing a senior communication channel across multiple functional domains.
Requirements:
You are:
- Domain Expertise in Payments (non-credit card), Receivables/Lockbox, Account Analysis/Billing, Deposits, Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Client Liquidity Management, and Commercial Credit Card
- Experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization
- Experience of Financial Services specifically within markets in either Trading or Post Trade candidate will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the complete trade and contract lifecycle
- Application development knowledge and experience (Enterprise Applications, distributed services, design, analysis)
- Certification or extensive experience in industry best practices in architectural methodologies and standards (e.g. UML, BPMN)
- Architecture, quality & productivity methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma)
- Modern application development and deployment (Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery)
- Broad based IT knowledge (hardware, software, middleware, databases, cloud)
- Deep Knowledge of Financial Services preferably within Markets
- Leadership, Communication and Relationship Skills
- Understand and empathize with the key challenges faced by sponsors and stakeholders
- Manage senior stakeholder expectations and build trust relationships
- Provide strategic vision based on balanced Risk, Financial, Process, and Resource factors
- Interpret business needs and promoting innovative technology solutions
- Support governance and oversight processes for managing alignment of change to strategic goals
- Translate complex concepts into multiple architectural views aimed at varying audiences
- Work effectively in a matrix organization with teams of architects, developers and business partners with minimal supervision
- Express ideas verbally and in writing to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives
