Our challenge
We are seeking a talented Java Python Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using both Java and Python. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95K - $105k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and Python, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code for new features and enhancements.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java and Python.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Proficiency in Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
