Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Java Developer with over 10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in software development, particularly within the banking, investment banking, or credit card industry sectors. The role requires a deep understanding of credit card/payment industries or similar and the ability to lead and mentor a development team, while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient code. Strong expertise in Java development, coupled with a strong background in financial services, is essential for success in this position.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ with salary 105,000-110,000/ year & benefits.

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in Core Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals (OOP, multithreading, collections, exception handling, etc.).
• Experience with popular Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Java EE.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests (JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Strong experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
