Our challenge
We are seeking a talented and motivated Hands-on Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development and a passion for building scalable and efficient applications. Candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet business requirements.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ/ Charlotte, NC is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Proficiency in Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant experience required
- Development: Write, test, and maintain high-quality Python code for various applications, services, and systems.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Architecture Design: Participate in the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end and back-end systems.
- Database Management: Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to design and optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Testing: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve application issues and bugs in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation related to software development processes and systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and propose improvements to existing processes and solutions.
