Our Challenges:
As a QA Tester with experience in API automation, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to develop and execute automated test scripts, coordinate with offshore teams, and validate API functionality..
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburg, PA is $85k - $95k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role &
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for APIs related to the Business credit card model.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand business requirements and translate them into testing scenarios.
- Perform thorough testing of APIs to ensure functionality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to manage API automation execution and ensure timely delivery of testing results.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate bug tracking tools.
- Participate in test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
- Conduct regression testing and performance testing as needed.
- Provide detailed reports and metrics on test results and quality assurance activities.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
Requirement:
You are:
- 7 years of experience in QA testing with a focus on API automation.
- Hands on experience with Selenium, Java, Cucumber
- Proficient in automation testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, etc.).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.) for test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are a plus.
