Our team is seeking a highly experienced DevOps professional with a strong background in Azure DevOps and provisioning tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New Jersey is $110k-$120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Ensure robust integration of code changes and automated deployment processes to enhance software delivery efficiency.
- Azure DevOps Management:
- Maintain and optimize Azure DevOps environments, including agents, projects, Git repositories, and service connections.
- Manage Azure DevOps build and release pipelines, leveraging both classic and YAML approaches.
- Containerization:
- Develop, manage, and optimize Docker containers to ensure consistent and reliable application deployments.
- Work on container orchestration using Kubernetes to manage application lifecycle and scalability.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Utilize provisioning tools like CloudFormation or Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and management in cloud environments.
- Create and maintain pipelines for provisioning resources in Azure and AWS environments.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Write and maintain scripts in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, and C# to automate tasks and improve system operations.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline development and operations processes.
- Version Control Management:
- Manage source code repositories using Git and other version control systems, ensuring code quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to establish version control best practices.
- Monitoring and Performance Tuning:
- Implement monitoring solutions using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure application performance and uptime.
- Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues, providing solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and operations to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
- Facilitate effective communication within teams to share knowledge and address challenges.
Requirements:
You are:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of DevOps/Cloud experience.
- DevOps Mindset: Deep knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.
- Azure DevOps: Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps build (both classic pipelines and YAML).
- Release Management: Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps release (both classic pipelines and YAML).
- Docker: Hands-on experience in creating Docker containers.
- Environment Maintenance: Hands-on experience in maintaining Azure DevOps environment (agents, projects, Git repos, service connections).
- Provisioning Tools: Several years of hands-on experience in CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Pipeline Creation: Hands-on experience creating pipelines to provision resources in the Cloud.
- Coding Skills: Demonstrated coding skills (bash, PowerShell, Python, C#, or any other high-level language).
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git and other version control systems.
- Senior Coder: A senior coder who has switched to a DevOps role.
- AWS Pipelines: Several years of hands-on experience creating pipelines to provision resources in AWS.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Kubernetes: Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
