Our Challenge

As a Senior Azure DevOps Developer, the candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. The candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring team members, managing multiple engagements, prioritizing and resolving complex problems, and escalating as necessary in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Hopkins, MN is $100k - $110k/year & benefits. Similar ranges apply for Chicago, IL; Hackensack, NJ; and Milwaukee, WI.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C#, Java, PowerShell, Python, and Bash, focusing on automation and code quality.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and ARM templates to automate the provisioning of cloud resources.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions, ensuring robust deployment strategies and rollback capabilities.
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Leverage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to establish monitoring solutions, analyze performance metrics, and fine-tune applications for optimal performance.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a dynamic team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • DevOps Environment Design: Design and implement environments tailored for DevOps practices, including staging and production environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Cloud Technology Influence: Advocate for cloud technologies and DevOps best practices across teams, driving the adoption of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet to ensure consistent system configurations and streamline deployments.
  • Automation of Processes: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance operational efficiency, utilizing scripting languages and DevOps tools.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and DevOps, promoting their integration into existing workflows.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL Database.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in C#, Java, PowerShell, Python, and Bash, with a strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
  • DevOps Tools: Strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible for building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • CI/CD Tools: In-depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with Azure Pipelines, Jenkins Pipelines, and GitHub Actions in a microservices architecture.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Proficient in using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet for automated deployments.
  • Version Control: Strong skills in version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, including branching strategies and code reviews.
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments, with a focus on scripting and automation in both OS types.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Experience in the Banking domain, understanding regulatory requirements and compliance in financial services.
