Our Challenge:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our team in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in QA automation, with proven expertise in Selenium, Java, Cucumber, and Grafana, and will understand the specific challenges and requirements of testing in the banking domain. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial applications through automated testing practices.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Tampa, FL is $95k-$105k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for banking applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to gather requirements and establish effective testing strategies tailored to the banking industry.
- Implement and manage BDD frameworks using Cucumber to facilitate clear and actionable test scenarios that align with business requirements.
- Utilize Grafana for monitoring and visualizing testing metrics, performance data, and application health.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and track their resolution in alignment with banking compliance and regulatory standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance automation frameworks and methodologies.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development lifecycle and ensure rapid feedback.
- Stay updated on banking regulations, industry trends, and best practices in QA automation and software testing.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in QA Automation with a strong focus on the financial or banking sector.
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for automated web testing.
- Extensive experience programming in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber for developing BDD test scenarios.
- Familiarity with Grafana for monitoring, data visualization, and performance analysis.
- Experience with test management tools and version control systems (e.g., JIRA, Git).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience with additional automation tools and frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and security testing practices relevant to banking applications.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, particularly in a financial services context.
- Previous experience working directly with banking applications or financial systems.
