Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in the banking sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, particularly Scrum, and will be responsible for facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring the team adheres to Agile methodologies, and driving continuous improvement.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the team follows Agile practices and principles.
• Remove impediments and blockers to ensure the team can deliver high-quality products.
• Collaborate with product owners to manage the product backlog and prioritize work.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices and principles.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Track and report on team progress and metrics.
• Ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Requirements:

You are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of banking processes and systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects using Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Knowledge of other Agile frameworks such as Kanban or Lean.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
