Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the logistics engineering discipline
- Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts
- Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques
- Execute effective communication channels with the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO), Contract Specialist, and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
- Conduct biweekly contract status meetings covering contract execution, identified performance risks and issues, and the contractor’s mitigation/corrective actions
- MA/MS degree or BA/BS 2 extra years
- Must have ten (10) years of relevant experience demonstrating the management of a technical program in support of Weapon System sustainment and/or development
- Three (3) years of program/project management experience involving the management of development programs and/or the production of technical documentation and training materials
- The program/project management experience may run concurrently with the ten (10) years of Weapon System sustainment and/or development management
- Must exhibit expert level commination skills as this role involves communicating to senior levels of leadership, internal and external to SSI
- Must be able to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes; and can balance priorities to work effectively in the fast-paced program office environment
- Must be a self-starter and be able to lead meetings
- Active DoD Secret Clearance is required
