What are the responsibilities and job description for the TTWCS Training Instructor - Port Hueneme, CA position at Synectic Solutions Inc?
This individual will develop and update curricula and course materials for use at shore training facilities and onboard ships to instruct officer and enlisted personnel. This is a contingent opportunity with an anticipated award date of January 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all deliverables are completed and submitted in time to support overall program milestones
- Develops and maintains curricula for these courses: TTWCS Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Watch Officer (WO), Tomahawk Strike Manager (TSM), and Cruise Missile Command Course (CMCC).
- Develop curricula using AIM or LOM/CPM software and deliver to the Learning Standards Office (LSO).
- Conduct Shipboard Training on development/maintenance, Initial Technical Training (ITT) or differences training for all TTWCS platforms and versions.
- Conduct training onsite in accordance with installation and upgrade schedules. Non-shipboard training may include personnel from Afloat Training Group, Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), Numbered Fleets, or NSWC PHD and other external customers.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship & Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) year experience developing curricula and providing operator and maintenance training for Weapon Control Systems or Mission Distribution System (MDS).
- Two (2) years of experience using Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) for curricula development.
- Two (2) years direct experience providing training for surface Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System.
- Demonstrated experience gathering/analyzing source material, develop / maintain training curricula.
- Demonstrated experience providing operations and maintenance training and advisory services.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
