Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney at their office located in Tallahassee, FL. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for legal research, writing legal documents, representing clients in court appearances and depositions, providing legal advice, and handling various legal matters, mainly litigation-based. They are presently open to both junior and senior attorneys in Tallahassee. They have room for more than one possibly, for the right fit(s).
They are primarily looking for a litigator with billing experience. Primary need will be coverage and defense work, but they have business litigation and environmental needs as well. Really looking for someone with generalist-litigation experience and not niche at this time.
Strong preference here is for someone local to Tallahassee
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Florida Bar and / or Georgia Bar
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting is a plus, particularly as a billing attorney
