Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Plan and designate project resources and monitor progress
- Interpret blueprints and draft principal, auxiliary, and sectional views
- Design metal components for fabrication
- Create complete drawing sets, including; submittal, fabrication, and field use drawings.
- Track approvals out, returned, and revisions.
- 3 years project management experience
- 3 years drafting / detailing experience
- 3 years experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel fabricator and(or) 3 years experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel subcontract detailing firm
- Able to read Architectural and Structural Construction drawings.
- Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to develop and improve upon product knowledge.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task.
- Strong organizational & communication skills.
- AutoCAD Advanced Steel experience preferred
- Estimating experience a plus
- Detailing: 3 years (Preferred)
- Miscellaneous Metals: 3 years (Preferred)
- Structural Steel: 3 years (Preferred)
- Project Management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Autodesk Advanced Steel: 1 year (Preferred)
