Responsibilities
Plan and oversee projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Plan and designate project resources and monitor progress
Interpret blueprints and draft principal, auxiliary, and sectional views
Design metal components for fabrication
Create complete drawing sets, including; submittal, fabrication, and field use drawings.
Track approvals out, returned, and revisions.
Requirements
3 years project management experience
3 years drafting / detailing experience
3 years experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel fabricator and(or) 3 years experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel subcontract detailing firm
Able to read Architectural and Structural Construction drawings.
Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Detail oriented.
Ability to develop and improve upon product knowledge.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task.
Strong organizational & communication skills.
AutoCAD Advanced Steel experience preferred
Estimating experience a plus
Detailing : 3 years (Preferred)
Miscellaneous Metals : 3 years (Preferred)
Structural Steel : 3 years (Preferred)
Project Management : 1 year (Preferred)
Autodesk Advanced Steel : 1 year (Preferred)
