About the Job
This full-time role involves originating SBA 504 loans for commercial real estate and equipment. The Loan Officer will also help originate Revolving Loan Funds managed by various municipalities and state agencies.
The starting annual base salary for this role will depend on experience. Additionally, the package includes Paid Time Off and a yearly performance-based bonus. Responsibilities
Develop relationships with potential borrowers, lenders, and referral sources.
Engage in continuous business development, including representing the organization at community events and meetings.
Meet with business owners and lending partners to assess financing needs and initiate SBA 504 loan processes as needed.
Structure and verify loan requests to ensure compliance with SBA guidelines, including their Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP").
Collect and analyze financial and general business data, assist in preparing credit memorandums with a Lending Specialist, and address queries from the Loan Committee and SBA Processing Center.
Promote and underwrite loans under community Revolving Loan Fund programs.
Oversee multiple loan projects, ensuring effective and timely communication with customers, lending partners, and team members.
Assist leadership with strategic initiatives and exploring additional revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or comparable professional experience
3-5 years of relevant credit and / or lending experience required
Familiarity with SBA loan programs, especially 504 loans, preferred
Strong grasp of financial statements and credit analysis
Excellent business development and presentation abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively
Professional communication skills for working with clients, lenders, and colleagues
Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working independently
Proactive and resourceful problem-solver
Strong personal integrity
