A veteran technician with direct and specific experience and references in this trade, including certifications such as NMEA, ABYC, or electronics manufacturer certifications, would be the ideal candidate.

The position is full-time, year-round, with benefits such as medical coverage, 401(k) / Simple IRA, paid holidays, and paid vacation. We generally work from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday, with weekends off, though ambitious technicians can earn 1.5x overtime. We also offer some flexibility in working hours.
We operate out of a modern and clean facility designed specifically for this business, featuring equipment and materials storage, a retail showroom, a clean shop, a fabrication shop, and indoor and outdoor high-bay work areas. Each technician is provided with a workspace and office technology to perform at the highest level possible. The shop is located in one of the largest and most prosperous marinas on the East Coast, attracting customers from hundreds and even thousands of miles away for marine electrical and electronics upgrades. Due to a high demand for service and installation work, we have never laid off an employee.
As a full-service contractor, we offer consultation, design, sales, installation, service, and training on all major brands of marine electronics and electrical systems. Technician Responsibilities
Install GPS, chart plotters / multi-function displays, fish finders, radar, autopilots, VHF radios, stereos, satellite communication systems, A / V systems
Work with brands such as Garmin, Furuno, Raymarine, Simrad, Lowrance, KVH, Intellian, Icom, Lookout, Victron Energy, FLIR, Fusion, Starlink, Zipwake, and more
Troubleshoot and repair electronics
Work on powerboats and sailboats, including small trailer boats and multi-million-dollar custom yachts
AC and DC electrical wiring, including panel installation, troubleshooting, batteries, chargers, inverters, transformers
Extensive lithium battery installations with supporting charging, monitoring, and management systems, including solar and alternative energy systems
Bench work, soldering, component assembly, and electronics testing
Transducer installation and service
PC navigation systems installation and service
NMEA 0183 / 2000 wiring
Light fabrication, woodworking, fiberglass, and paint as needed to fit electronics
Aloft work for transducers, navigation lights, and radar domes
Battery replacements and other heavy lifting tasks
Conduct sea trials for equipment calibration and testing
Provide customer training and orientation
System design and documentation, including schematics
