Job Description:
The team in San Diego is looking for an experienced Production Planner for the manufacturing of the Filmetrics product line.
Work closely with Master Scheduling to understand build plan positioning, changes and required flexibility.
Planner must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments.
Determines material requirements from production schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle in a short lead-time, high mix manufacturing setting.
Work closely with purchasing to understand incoming material status and risk.
Track shortages and run shortage meetings with procurement team.
Highlight to management critical part shortages that will jeopardize ship schedule.
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Interacts with senior internal personnel.
Reviewing SAP ques and feedback from other planners and master scheduler and procurement giving input, determine if can build now or what is blocking it.
Work with alot of number, attention to detail, no room for errors.
Must understand manufacturing capacity and allocate as required to meet build plan commitments
Uses SAP to help automate planning and procurement function
Crafting documentation/ working through higher level tasking.
Communication with all departments in timely fashion
Also interacts with senior internal personnel
Working with circuit boards, building
Master scheduling and building
Shift: Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM - 4 PM
Requirements:
BA in Business with min 5 years' experience
Electronic Manufacturing field would be helpful
SAP required (automated)
MS Excel
Experience in integration
Process oriented and results-driven and should enjoy a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated aptitude to learn new concepts and norms quickly.
Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines, while keeping a keen awareness of the impact on other areas of the organization.
Demonstrated high attention to detail - perfectionists are encouraged to apply!
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams as well as independently.
Willing and ready to ask questions.
