An eye care surgical practice, and sought of in the greater Jacksonville area. It is a single location, single surgeon practice seeing patients in a comfortable environment at a comfortable pace with no rush or overbooked schedules. We are seeking to add a people-friendly, career-oriented person, to join our dynamic team in a family atmosphere while being mentored to grow with unlimited potential in a thriving environment with no rushing, no driving to multiple offices, or confusion of directives from multiple surgeons. Open only on weekdays (Mon to Fri) from 8 : 30am to 5pm and closed at weekends to allow staff to enjoy their time with family.
Role Description
Provides vision tests, accurate refraction, and diagnostic technologies to provide the physician data and assist in patient care.
Communicate with patients and physicians including telephone and computer skills regarding follow up care, surgeries, procedures, symptoms, medications.
Qualificatons :
Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, cross-train and function well
Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is a plus
Experience in assisting with surgical procedures is a plus
Well versed in phone and computer communications etiquette.
Experience with eye care or health care is a Plus.
