What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Qualification Data Scientist Intern position at Synectics?
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for introducing and / or developing data science tools to streamline global material implementations.
- Engage with different internal stakeholders to identify, and prioritize, relevant data science tools that deliver efficiency improvements to the material implementation process.
- Support Material Qualification strategic projects.
- Use data-driven decision-making processes to enable timely and objective recommendations for continuation, acceleration, and prioritization of global material implementations.
- Use agile principles to reduce process complexity and increase organizational capacity
- Full accountability for identifying and / or developing data science tools that can be integrated within material implementation process operating model
- Work with line management to enable decisions and contribute to gaining alignment for changes outside approved scope
- Partners with material implementation teams to identify the team needs (team members are from the areas of quality, procurement, process experts, product experts, device experts, and regulatory affairs)
- Works across functional area boundaries and manufacturing sites, when needed, to bring in additional resources and alignment
- Works independently for alignment on data science development approach while escalating to line manager for issues cutting across multiple sites or functional areas
- Scout for off-the-shelf solutions to speed Material Qualification data science efforts
- Develop in-house tool(s) that can be deployed at enterprise-scale for maximum value capture

Technical Certification Bonus : Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
