The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role is a field-based, customer-facing, non-promotional medical and scientific position within the DC / Maryland / Virginia area. The MSL’s key objective is to create impact through advancing clinical practice within the assigned territory that leads to improved patient outcomes. The MSL serves as a scientific expert in HIV treatment and prevention, engages scientifically with Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and medical experts, and executes all relevant activities in alignment with the medical strategic plan.

- Scientific Expertise : Build strong scientific acumen and serve as a primary point of contact for medical and scientific inquiries in HIV treatment and prevention.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with external experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
- Clinical Insights : Gather and relay insights from the field to inform product development, clinical trial design, and market strategies.
- Education and Training : Develop and deliver scientific presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
- Compliance and Documentation : Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Leadership and Mentorship : Mentor and coach new or less experienced MSLs and lead scientific or strategic projects.
- Safety Communication : Disseminate important safety information to healthcare professionals as directed.
- Agility and Adaptability : Interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- National Meetings : Attend both national and regional scientific / medical meetings.
- Matrix Collaboration : Conduct business with a collaborative mindset engaging across matrix stakeholders.
- Administration : Execute all responsibilities and training in a timely manner.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $190,000-$220,000. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
