JOB SUMMARY

Join a team of dynamic communications & marketing professionals within the footprint of a 28,000-person global biopharmaceutical company that has helped develop or commercialize 92% of novel new drugs approved by the FDA in the last five years (2019-2023). The Global Corporate Communications & Marketing (GCC&M) team at Syneos Health is looking for a highly collaborative communicator to craft, amplify, and protect our brand narrative with external audiences.

Reporting to the Director of External Communications, this role is critical to the planning and execution of strategic communications plans that support our business goals. The Communications Manager will work closely with Syneos Health leaders and subject matter expert to cultivate compelling content for paid, earned, and owned channels to further enhance our leading position in the industry – with an emphasis on social media.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development and execution of external communications strategies aligned with the Company’s priorities.

• Drive the Company’s social media strategy, including managing social media platforms and analytic tools, and expanding the social advocacy program to extend reach and enhance positioning with key audiences.

• Develop original content to engage customers and the media, including, but not limited to, social posts, editorial content, executive talking points, award submissions, blogs, infographics, videos, press releases and media pitches.

• Advise internal business partners on communication plans to support business initiatives.

• Measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of communications strategies.

• Build a deep understanding of the Company’s business goals and the healthcare/drug development/healthcare outsourcing industry to inform programs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills, understanding of the multi-channel environment and ability to guide PR agency and creative partners.

• Deep understanding of social media strategies and content generation – with an emphasis on LinkedIn.

• Proficient writing skills including the flexibility to write in the voice of others and ability to tailor messages for multiple audiences.

• A keen eye for finding engaging stories and bringing them to life via various mediums.

• Curious, strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

• Highly collaborative with a willingness and flexibility to help colleagues.

• Requires a BA/BS in marketing, communications, public relations, or related discipline, and 5-7 years of experience in marketing or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is required. Experience with design tool is a plus.

• Requires above-average judgement, attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment is necessary.

• Ability to maintain highest standards of corporate image presentation in trade show and corporate communications environment.

• Up to 10% travel.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $71,820.00 to $139,600.00. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
