Summary : An industry leading Ocean Transportation company is looking to hire an Account Specialist. This is a full-time permanent position that offers benefits from day 1.Responsibilities :
- Oversee account performance and growth, focusing on business retention and development.
- Build strong client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales, commercial teams, agencies, and domestic / overseas offices to secure new business and maintain service quality.
- Manage a structured call cycle with assigned accounts as per management standards.
- Oversee service contracts, processing renewals per sales management timelines.
- Keep customer records up to date per Sales Standards (, account profiles, contact details).
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Assist in problem-solving for customers and support Account Executives.
- Support sales objectives by analyzing leads, competitor data, and reports to target key / new accounts.
- Stay informed on tariff and rate changes, coordinating with Pricing and other offices.
- Utilize company systems and tools (, Stars Tariff, Sales & Marketing Reports, Trade Database) in daily tasks.Qualifications :
- 2 years of inside sales, customer service, or sales support experience
- Sales or customer service background in Freight Forwarding / Ocean Transportation preferred
- Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel domestically if necessary
- Excellent communication skills
