Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor project cost ledgers, ensuring all costs are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards
- Oversee payroll processing for construction workers, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests; ensure timely billing and collection of receivables
- Evaluate aging reports to ensure payments are up to date and calling general contractors for payment update
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Work closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve any financial issues or discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems within the accounting department
Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 5 years of accounting experience within the construction industry, required
- Proficiency in accounting software (Trimble Spectrum software or similar)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
