Automation Engineer:
Job Summary:
The Automation Design Engineer is charged with conceiving, developing, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated manufacturing systems and processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Automation engineer can be assigned to lead automation technicians.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Automation Engineer is responsible for the mechanical, electrical and control systems design of automated manufacturing equipment and processes.
* Specify and integrate robotics, vision, and other manufacturing technologies.
* Work with Automation Technicians to assemble, test and trouble shoot the custom-built automation systems.
* Collaborate other design engineers to prepare cost estimates for automated manufacturing systems and research new manufacturing technologies.
* Document and train manufacturing personnel for the use of custom-built automation systems.
* Assist in ECR/ECN process for prototype and new products.
* Assists in different stages of Advance Product and Quality Process (APQP) including PFMEA and Control Plan creation.

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
* 5 years of related experience
* Must be a team player who is well organized, with good communication skills, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
* Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
* Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization"s facilities.
