Our Client is a Mebane based international manufacturing company looking for a industry expert to join their Plastic Injection Molding Technician team. This role will need strong experience with Plastic Injection Molding processes, along with 6-axis robotics operations knowledge. The Automation Technician will be responsible for the day to day operations at brand new manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities -
- Program, Set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automation equipment and supporting machinery.
- Collaborate with technician team to support daily operations, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Assist with development and implementation of new projects, assist with initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity
- Assist with equipment and tool changeovers, maintenance, and process optimization efforts.
- Diagnose and resolve issues leading to downtime events. Analyze and identify issues, and resolve those issues.
- Responsible for the safe operation of injection plastic molding and assembly equipment throughout the plant.
Job Requirements -
- 5 or more years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding
- 3 or more years of experience working with 6-axis robotics. Must have programming, troubleshooting, and operation experience.
- Strong understanding of automation systems, mechanical systems, high voltage AC and low voltage DC electrical systems
- Ability to work prolonged periods, standing & sitting. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and dexterity to operate testing equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
