Summary
We are looking for an experienced Bridges and Structures Superintendent to manage and oversee the construction of bridge and structural projects. This role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise in bridges and other large structures, ensuring that all projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities related to bridge and structural projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project plans, specifications, and standards
- Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient performance. Assign tasks, provide direction, and ensure all workers are properly trained and equipped
- Develop Daily Hazard Analyses as well as job Activity Hazard Analyses prior to new work activities and review with crews
- Ensure all construction work meets the required quality and design standards. Perform regular quality checks, review drawings, and verify that specifications are being followed
- Assist with survey and field layout. Assist estimators during the pursuit of new work
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, equipment logs, and safety documentation. Submit required reports to project management
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience in bridge and structural construction
- NCDOT Erosion and Sedimentation Control certification, required
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, Rigging and other applicable safety certifications, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with project stakeholders and field teams
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, perform physical tasks, and work in high-elevation environments as needed
- Willingness to travel
- A valid driver"s license with a clean driving record

Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
