Our client in Pittsburgh's Oakland area is seeking a Building Engineer to join the teamKey Responsibilities : Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Maintenance : - Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system maintenance across assigned properties- Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAVs, and air distribution systems- Monitor and adjust mechanical / pneumatic equipment, steam stations, control gauges, and thermostats- Verify field conditions and perform necessary repairs or adjustmentsPreventive Maintenance & Inspections : - Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) including filter changes, coil cleaning, and condenser flushing- Inspect and maintain cooling towers, motors, pumps, valves, and other critical equipment- Perform annual inspections and ensure equipment is functioning per industry standards- Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisorsRepairs & General Maintenance : - Repair plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, lavatories, etc.)- Perform general property repairs (doors, ceilings, floors, handrails, etc.)- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all mechanical spacesEnergy & Safety Management : - Monitor energy management systems to optimize building efficiency- Conduct fire and life safety inspections in accordance with local codes and safety standards- Ensure emergency exit signs, lights, and access to exits are fully operationalEmergency Response : - Respond to emergencies (fire, evacuation, equipment failure) promptly and efficiently- Address customer concerns in a timely manner during emergenciesCompliance & Safety : - Adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety directives- Complete all required safety training as scheduled- Maintain a professional appearance and follow the company uniform dress codeRequirements : - 5 years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting- Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.- Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations.- Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair.- Ability to work a variety of Shifts & OT as needed#ZRPB
