A growing manufacturer in the marine industry, is seeking a CNC Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in setting up plates and operating CNC machines, specifically the HCM5000 5-axis horizontal milling machine. This role involves machining raw aluminum plates for water maker systems, with tolerances ranging from 5 thousand to 2 thousand.
Responsibilities:
* Operate the HCM5000 5-axis horizontal CNC machine.
* Perform 2-D machining of aluminum plates (1 inch thick) using a 10 Pallet Tek system.
* Manage R&D and production runs with attention to detail and precision.
* Managing tools and ordering
* Conduct regular maintenance cycles to ensure machine efficiency and longevity such as changing oil, coolant etc
* Work in a versatile environment, contributing to various tasks as needed in a small but rapidly growing company
* Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 1 year of experience operating CNC Mills or Lathes with 5-axis milling Mazak preferred
* experience in small mill work and 5-axis milling and lathe operations.
* Ability to perform maintenance on CNC machines.
* Familiarity with both R&D and production environments.
* Experience in 3-D design is a plus.
* Able to lift 50lbs
