What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Test Engineer - High Voltage position at Synerfac Technical Staffing?
Lead and mentor a team of high voltage test engineers by assigning task, monitoring progress and providing guidance to ensure accurate, timely test completion. Foster a culture of innovation, safety and continuous learning. -Oversee the planning, executions and analytics of high voltage tests on electrical equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, insulators) Address and resolve technical issues during testing. Develop and implement test procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.-Oversee the high voltage laboratory's equipment calibration, maintenance and upgrades. recommend equipment investments to expand testing capabilities and ensure safety compliance. - Strong understanding of high voltage testing techniques and methodologies, with a commitment to ensuring all testing adheres to relevant industry standards including IEEE, ANSI, IEC and UL, as well as meeting customer specifications. -Staying current with advancements in high voltage testing practices to continuously refine and improve protocols. Additionally, provide technical guidance to engineering teams and clients, supporting best practices and industry compliance throughout testing process. - prepare detailed test reports with data analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. Maintain accurate up- to- date documentation of procedures and results. Bachelor"s Degree Electrical Engineering 7 Years of experience in testing and validation of utility-scale electrical / mechanical equipment,with extensive knowledge of AC / DC power circuits, component selection and calculations. Extensive experience in high voltage testing with knowledge of key testing methods, such aspower frequency, impulse, partial discharge and withstand voltage tests. Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution principles, as well ascurrent and voltage measurement techniques. Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL and other relevant standards for electrical / mechanicalequipment. Proven customer relationship management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
