What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Safety Specialist position at Synerfac Technical Staffing?
Job Description
- Ensures compliance with Local, State, and Federal EH&S regulations. (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Coordinates training needs with plant leadership to ensure all applicable training is conducted at appropriate intervals. (STOP training, OSHA required training, EPA required training, Fire drill, Tornado, etc.
- Will develop and implement Corporate, EPA, and OSHA standards / initiatives based on business needs.
- Attend periodic EH&S trainings as needed or required.
- Conducts facility EH&S audits, documents results, and partners with plant leadership to address any / all findings.
- Ensures incident management process is followed at the plant level. Partners with plant teams to drive continuous improvement and prevent incident reoccurrence.
- Develop and coach operations team members to ensure effective safety culture and employee engagement.
- Complete various environmental compliance reports including but not limited to; monthly chemical usage, emissions, TRI, Tier II, etc.
- Complete various air monitoring and water quality monitoring as needed.
