Our client in Irwin PA is seeking a General Laborer to work in the Shape Room Duties : - Assist with daily operations in the shape room, including setup, operation, and maintenance of various machinery.- Perform grinding, cutting, and other mechanical processes as directed by senior team members.- Operate and maintain tools such as surface grinders, table saws, lathes, and mills in accordance with safety and quality standards.- Assist in the measurement and inspection of parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.).- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production workflows.- Support the maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas to maintain safety and operational efficiency.Requirements : - High School Diploma - Previous hands-on production experience in manufacturing or machining, with a basic understanding of shaping, grinding, or cutting tools.- Knowledge of tools and equipment such as surface grinders, pedestal grinders, lathes (including HAAS, -Bridgeport, and Omni Turn), table saws, and drills.- Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.) and the ability to use them accurately for inspection and part measurement.- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
