Generator Service Technician : As a Generator Service Technician, you'll join a dynamic team servicing a leading provider of power systems throughout South Carolina. You will work in the field to maintain and repair commercial generator systems and related electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a variety of settings. Responsibilities : - Perform maintenance and repair on diesel and gaseous generators ranging from 5-5000kw, ensuring optimal performance.- Troubleshoot and repair Automatic Transfer Switches, including bypass isolation and closed transition types.- Conduct preventative maintenance, such as oil and filter changes, and troubleshoot AC / DC circuits.- Execute start-up and commissioning services for new generators and generator systems.- Perform load bank testing to verify compliance with operational and code requirements.- Address complex issues and collaborate with other technicians on large-scale projects.- Repair engine systems, including ignition components, injection systems, and valve adjustments.- Maintain accurate records of job status, repairs, and required parts or materials.Requirements : - 3-5 years of industry related experience. - High school diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical or mechanical-related field is a plus.- Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.- Military experience as a US Navy Electrician"s Mate, US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, or similar field service experience encouraged.- Valid driver"s license with a clean driving record.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF. Additional Information : - Overnight travel required 1-3 nights per week, with hotel and meal allowances provided.- Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and confined spaces.- Must lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and grasping.
