Our client develops high-speed packaging machinery for the consumer product industries. They are seeking a Project Manager to build and lead their project management function, driving process creation and standardization across teams and working closely with their counterparts at other group sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to drive teamwork and accountability, ensuring the delivery of machinery that meets deadlines and budgetary constraints in a challenging, dynamic setting.
Project Manager:
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from award through all product phases, ensuring a defect-free handover to the customer.
- Plan and coordinate the effective utilization of Technical and Assembly resources to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, focusing on adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure seamless project execution.
- Analyze root causes of project issues and implement corrective actions to resolve them effectively.
- Deliver clear and timely status reports to external clients and internal stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Develop creative solutions to optimize lead times, reduce project costs, and enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSME) or comparable training.
- PMP Certification
- Several years of experience in multi-project management, preferably in an industry related to machinery or capital equipment design/build.
- Strong computer skills, including expertise in MS Projects or other project management software.
- Experience with EPICOR (Kinetic) ERP is a plus.
- Experience in ACAD 2D is an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, project specifications, floor plans, and technical documentation.
- Fluent in English. Business fluent in German is a plus.
- Be prepared for occasional travel of up to 10% for field support and customer interaction.
