Summary:
A marine service and response company is looking to hire an Experienced Marine Mechanic. This company provides emergency and repair services to commercial vessels and barges. The position is primarily responsible for repairing marine engines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Repair marine engines and equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance on commercial vessels
* Work on the repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems for marine vessels
* Ensure service records and work orders are logged and performed correctly
* Tag equipment based on status and pending items
* Work alongside Assets department for correct categorization of machinery and parts
* Notify Shipyard Superintendent of necessary items for maintenance
* Travel to job sites up to 25%
Qualifications:
* 10 years of experience as a Marine Mechanic or Technician
* Must have knowledge of gasoline engines, including but not limited to 2 stroke Honda
* Experience with Marine diesel engines
* Experience working with and repairing both pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Certified in at least two areas of marine diesel/mechanical repair
Preferred:
* TWIC card or ability to receive one
* Valid Driver's License
* Valid Passport (necessary for travel to job sites)
* Previous Experience with Maintenance Connection Software
