A leader in the commercial and industrial mechanical and plumbing industry, serving Central PA and Northern Maryland. Currently, they are seeking a skilled Commercial / Industrial Boiler Technician to join their team.
The Commercial Boiler Technician will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting boiler systems for a variety of clients. This includes diagnosing system issues, replacing components, adjusting controls, and working alongside certified welders for specialized repairs.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation, start-up, and commissioning of commercial boiler systems, including expansion tanks, pumps, and water level controls.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various fuel systems including natural gas, propane, oil, and dual-fuel burners, as well as steam systems and boilers up to 200 psi.
Diagnose and repair advanced boiler control systems from multiple manufacturers, such as Honeywell, Fireye, Siemens, and Autoflame.
Collaborate with certified welders for tube replacements and other R Stamp repairs.
Prepare boiler systems for state inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and offering training when necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities, ensuring thorough reporting.
Travel to client locations throughout the region, providing both emergency repair and routine service.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements :
5 years of experience troubleshooting and servicing commercial and industrial boilers.
Robust knowledge of multiple boiler manufacturers including Cleaver-Brooks, Lochinvar, Hurst, Burnham, and Fulton.
Proficiency in boiler and burner controls, with a strong understanding of control circuit troubleshooting.
Experience with commercial HVAC systems and their integration with boiler systems.
Valid PA driver"s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Ability to successfully complete background and drug screenings.
Key Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; technical school or equivalent work experience preferred.
In-depth experience with advanced control systems such as Honeywell, Fireye, Siemens, and Autoflame.
Familiarity with inspection and maintenance protocols for large-scale commercial boiler systems.
Strong communication skills, with a focus on client service and satisfaction.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
