A Leading steel and truss manufacturer is looking for a full time estimator who has a structural framing background. Projects are generally for low to mid-rise buildings. The candidate must be capable of planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgment of criteria in construction documents. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package provided.
Responsibilities :
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings for cold formed steel load bearing wall panels, floor systems, and roof trusses.
- Learn pricing methods for panelization of cold formed steel framing to be able to perform estimates from start to finish.
- Organize and coordinate flow of work through estimating to insure on time proposals.
- Solicit bids from vendors and sub-contractors to complete bid packages.
- Maintain ongoing department organization and filing systems.
- Communicate effectively with team, consultants, vendors, and clients.
- Review proposals for format, text, completeness, and forward to customer(s).
