Diesel Technician Opportunity - Plattsburgh, NY
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Potsdam, NY. This second-shift position focuses on repairs and preventative maintenance for trucks, with pay and responsibilities tailored to your experience and abilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks.
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform light work on yellow iron heavy equipment.
Complete adjustments, alignments, and other mechanical work.
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements
Requirements : A-Level Technician :
4 years of experience repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing brakes, steering, suspension, PTO shafts, hydraulics, fuel and air intake systems, and other systems.
Experience with hydraulics preferred; electrical and welding skills are a plus.
High School Diploma or GED.
B-Level Technician :
Experience repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues through testing and inspections.

Shift Details :
Second Shift : 1 : 00 PM - Close (typically 10 : 00-10 : 30 PM).
Overtime begins after 40 hours; weekly average is 45-50 hours.
