What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Laborer/CDL Driver position at Synerfac?
SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Safely and efficiently shuttle company trailers between the plant and the warehouse.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Safety
A. Ensure compliance to all safety rules per company policy. Including but not limited to Cardinal safety rules, OSHA regulations, and DOT regulations.
B. Complete Yard horse Activity / Inspection, Forklift Inspection, and Trailer Entry Forms daily.
C. Inspect trailers daily to verify condition meets criteria set by Client for loading and unloading.
D. Attend monthly safety meetings and complete all required training.
E. Report all incidents, accidents, and near misses immediately.
2. Receiving - 100% accurate and timely receipts.
A. Safely shuttle trailers from and to the plant.
B. Conduct unloading, receiving, labeling, and put away activities via RF.
C. Communicate and resolve issues with Supervisor or Manager.
3. Shipping - 100% on-time and accurate shipments - Zero complaints.
A. Conduct shipping activities picking, staging, loading, and verifying orders via RF.
B. Safely shuttle trailers to and from the plant.
C. Perform box to bulk, break bulk and raw material requests.
D. Verify shipments for accuracy and compliance to picking / shipment requirements, instructions, and procedures.
E. Notify Supervisor of Transfer orders that won"t confirm via RF.
4. Building, equipment, and supplies
A. Make sure equipment is in safe and in operational condition. Notify Supervisor of all repairs necessary to keep equipment in safe and operational order.
B. Follow all housekeeping procedures. This includes but not limited to keeping all work areas, dock areas, and aisle ways clean and free from debris. Immediately cleaning up any material loss or spillage and putting all trash into appropriate trash bins.
5. Must follow established routine. Employee will perform all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor and / or warehouse manager.
6. Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Job Requirements
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES :
1. Ensures compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. Must be proficient in SAP and operate RF Monitor as it relates to the job functions.
3. Physically count materials for cycle counts directed to by Supervisor and / or Warehouse Manager.
4. Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development plan.
5. Communicate with all team members to support the company"s goals and objectives.
6. Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
7. Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
8. Special requests including but not limited to grade changes, relabeling, repack samples, etc....
9. Assist in all office duties as requested by Supervisor.
PERFORMANCE GOALS :
1. Zero customer complaints and zero safety violations
2. Inventory control of 99.95% accuracy with 100% frequency compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Education : Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.
2. Possess a valid CDL Driver"s license and pass DOT physical and drug test.
3. Experience : 2-5 years" experience in the field or in a related field with a current CDL Driver"s License.
4. Able to learn and navigate SAP system via RF Monitor as it relates to the job functions.
5. Possess good written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with fellow employees and supervision.
6. Be certified by C&W Services to operate a forklift.
