A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Project Engineer to lead and support I&C engineering projects from design through implementation. This role involves managing project scope, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient and cost-effective control systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement I&C engineering solutions for industrial projects.
Oversee projects from design to commissioning, ensuring budget and schedule adherence.
Design, specify, and integrate PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems.
Perform instrumentation selection, configuration, and loop design.
Create detailed engineering documents, including control narratives, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Work with vendors to procure and integrate control system components.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning at customer sites.
Ensure compliance with ISA, NEC, NFPA, and other industry standards.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to optimize system performance.
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
Job Requirements
Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Job Requirements :
- 10-15 years of experience in I&C engineering
- Experience in the water and wastewater industry performing consulting engineering
- EIT certification preferred; ability to obtain PE license in the future required (bachelors required as a prereq)
- PLC, HMI programming experience would be a plus
