What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Inspector position at Synerfac?
Test electronic alarm systems consisting of fire, security, access, sprinkler, etc.
Generates electronic and paper documentation for the purpose of system certification in a timely, efficient manner; including preparing work orders, deficiency reports, check-lists, and certification reports.
Operating / maintaining company vehicle.
Communicates the team members to effectively pursue company goals of certifying alarm systems according to acceptable standards and practices.
Presents themselves in a positive, professional manner and per company policy.
Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their fire alarm system.
Supervises Assistant Tester to ensure proper certification of the sprinkler systems.
Performs minor repairs of the above referenced equipment.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of testing fire detection and protection equipment and systems
Must have knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements
Have ability to interpret code books and handbooks
Customer relations experience
Good communication
Able to train assistant trainees
Positive and respectful attitude
3-5 years of experience within the fire protection industry
Familiar with various alarm systems, test, and communication equipment
Valid drivers license
Ability to obtain MD and VA security technician license as required, provided by our client
