Full service metal forming company in Union County that specializes in custom and standard enclosures made by deep drawing or hydroforming technologies is seeking a Direct Hire Lead Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic.Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled hands on Lead Maintenance Mechanic to oversee the maintenance operations at our metal forming company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and systems.-Has responsibility for both the inside and outside of the facility and associated properties including all machinery, equipment, and operating systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics and vehicles. -Supervising the work of other associates and outside technicians / contractors; general management duties; and ensuring efforts meet operational standards and any applicable laws and regulations. -Duties and responsibilities include opening or closing the facility. -Ensuring all permits and maintenance contracts are maintained in a timely fashion. Overseeing routine building maintenance, repair, including painting, snow removal, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics and HVAC work, maintenance of the standpipe and sprinkler system, and the maintaining and repairing of roofs, floors, locks, and related items. -Performing daily tasks including troubleshooting and repairing machinery and operating systems to ensure the smooth running of the facility. -Working and maintaining relationships with contracted vendors and repair technicians to ensure all machines and systems work properly. -Monitoring the on-site work of vendors and repair technicians by maintaining an on-site presence during the work being done until job completion. This may include before and / or after hours on a workday and working on weekends. -Working with the purchasing agent to acquire needed parts, tools, and supplies. Operating a fork-lift, scissor jack, and other machinery in the moving of material or equipment. -Submitting appropriate reports to the management team. -Planning, formulating, organizing, controlling, and directing maintenance activities. Complying, implementing, and monitoring all safety rules, regulations, and standards for both employees and non-employees. -Managing timelines and work priorities and allocating resources to meet assigned maintenance timelines and goals Ensuring the effectual adoption of new programs and policies and providing training in order to meet the new requirements. Meeting with the owner to provide input for pricing quotes for repair and maintenance initiatives. -Collaborating with other workers to find best practices and the best solution to a given problem. -Reviewing the overall performance and identifying training necessities of maintenance personnel. Managing, observing, and evaluating maintenance employees throughout the year and providing positive and negative feedback. Assisting with Human Resources activities when needed. -Participating in weekly production and monthly plant meetings. -Completing administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to the management team. -Responding to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.-Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues-Manage inventory of supplies and equipment-Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs-Detail oriented, must be able to read machine and electrical schematicsJob RequirementsQualifications / Requirements : - Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting-Proficiency is using voltmeters and working with both low and high voltage systemsHigh School diploma or equivalency. Must have leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as a team member. Possess strong : Interpersonal and communication skills.Time management and planning skills.Knowledge of production machinery and techniques.Possess the ability to : Pay attention to detail, read machine and electrical schematics, read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.Problem-solve machine issues and think outside of the box. Must be flexible, neat and organized. Ability to be proactive not reactive in fulfilling maintenance and repair responsibilities.Demonstrates a desire for continuous improvement and not waiting for something to go wrong.
