About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team in New Boston, Michigan. Our client is a leading family-owned company in the automotive industry, known for its strong leadership and commitment to employee development.
The successful candidate will work closely with other supervisors and managers to plan and organize material handling operations, ensuring efficient receipt and shipment of goods. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising shift rotations and dock schedules to meet customer requirements
- Building security protocols to monitor incoming and outgoing personnel
- Monitoring performance indicators, including cost, process, quality, delivery, and housekeeping
- Liaising with production departments on stock management and finished goods
- Resolving logistical issues and collaborating with internal departments as needed
- Maintaining continuity of customer deliveries
- Supporting continuous improvement activities to optimize processes
- Enforcing Human Resource Policies and maintaining daily Time and Attendance systems
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience in logistics, including inbound and outbound shipments
- Strong management experience (at least 3 years)
- Proficiency in computer knowledge and applications
- Experience in an automotive environment (desirable)
