Pay : $20 / hour
Shift : Monday - Friday / 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM
Job Overview :
The Seasonal Expeditor will assist in the smooth operation of our vessel activity during busy season (Nov-May). You will be responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient movement of goods, coordinating logistics, managing stock levels, and ensuring that products are delivered quickly and accurately. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Order Management :
o Review and prioritize incoming orders to ensure timely delivery.
o Coordinate with various departments (inventory, shipping, or production) to expedite processing of orders.
o Monitor backorders and ensure all orders are completed and dispatched as needed.
2. Inventory Control :
o Track inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate stock levels.
o Assist with stock organization, re-stocking, and locating items.
o Conduct regular inventory checks to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
3. Logistics Coordination :
o Communicate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure goods are transported efficiently.
o Assist in routing shipments to the appropriate destinations.
o Work with suppliers and vendors to expedite order fulfillment and resolve any delays.
4. Expediting Processes :
o Work with the team to ensure all orders are processed quickly, efficiently, and in compliance with deadlines.
o Resolve any issues or delays that may occur in the order fulfillment or shipping processes.
o Provide proactive updates to management and customers regarding order statuses and delays.
5. Customer Service :
o Ensure that customer orders are handled accurately and on time.
o Address customer concerns or inquiries regarding shipping or delivery timelines.
o Maintain a positive and professional attitude while assisting team members and customers.
6. General Support :
o Assist in any other duties as required to support the operations team during peak seasons.
o Help troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise in the order flow or logistics.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, or retail operations preferred, but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computer systems and inventory management software.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Positive attitude and strong team player.
