What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Engineer - Electronics and Calibration position at Synerfac?
Our client in Bethel Park is seeking a Service Engineer to join the team
Duties :
- Follow guidelines of the Service Department within ISO 17025 requirements
- Train and qualify other service technicians on instrumentation on which the training service engineer has been previously qualified.
- Conduct routine tasks such as, but not limited to, Periodic Maintenance (PM), calibrations, check-in, installation and repair of instruments, and Positive Metal Identification (PMI)
- Complete required paperwork on customer site and obtaining customer signature where required.
- Advise customers of any actions that need to be taken to keep the instrument in good working condition.
- Submit all paperwork maintained by office administration at the end of each work week.
- Contact main office daily : call in upon arrival at customer site and at completion of job. Also, report any possible problems or delays in a timely manner.
- Provide telephone, remote and / or on-site technical support to other technicians when needed.
- Provide technical support to customers by phone, remote access, or on site.
- Make suggestions for improving methods, procedures, forms, etc.
- Provide feedback to main office (service coordinator or technology manager) about all findings at customer site
