Qualifications and Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be board-certified in Family Medicine or Primary Care, hold an active MD or DO medical license in Tennessee with hospital privileges, and have no pending or past malpractice suits. Residency in Tennessee is preferred, but not required. While experience supervising mid-level providers and familiarity with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and weight loss services are preferred, they are not mandatory. Candidates must be credentialed with major insurance carriers, including United Healthcare, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, and Multiplan, with support available for Tricare credentialing if needed. This part-time position requires supervising mid-level providers, overseeing a laboratory (with at least one year as an active lab director), reviewing provider charts and completing monthly laboratory documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to ensure compliance with regulations, providing medical direction and consultation as needed. Review and evaluate patient charts electronically, adhering to ethical, legal, and corporate policies.
