SynergenX is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Call Center Agent to join our team in the Northwest Houston, Texas area! As part of the team, you will handle data entry, patient registration, and respond to high-volume customer inquiries, all while adhering to state and federal regulations. You'll work under direct supervision, following standard operating procedures and performing duties in line with company policies. You'll also use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information. Responsibilities may vary based on the department you're assigned to.
Key Responsibilities:
Using Village Lane Rx prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, processes new patient registration by entering data into appropriate system. Handles patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enters refill orders for processing. Troubleshoots to obtain missing prescription information and interprets medical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolves all data entry related exceptions.
Handles correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and makes outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
Payment arrangements
Billing/rebilling claims
Adjustment processing
Create Shipping labels for mail delivery
Responsible for ensuring that all medications are accurate and sent to the correct patient before shipment
Assemble packaging for mailed prescriptions
Helps Pharmacists and those in the facility. Identifies and communicates issues to senior level staff as appropriate
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to pass a routine background check.
Experience:
Prior customer service experience preferred; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology or previous experience in a mail-in pharmacy setting is preferred.
