We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President (VP) of Remote Care to lead and expand our telemedicine services across multiple clinic locations and multiple states, with a core focus on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for the biological sex and medically supervised weight loss programs. This executive role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, patient-centered virtual healthcare while ensuring operational excellence, technological integration, and compliance within a rapidly growing healthcare environment.
The VP of Remote Care will be based onsite at our Northwest Houston headquarters, collaborating closely with clinical, operational, and technology leaders to shape the future of digital care delivery and improve patient outcomes in a highly specialized, patient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
The Vice President (VP) of Remote Care will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for remote care services across all clinic locations. This includes collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team to align telemedicine strategies with organizational goals and patient care standards. The VP will lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across telemedicine and remote care functions, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and patient excellence. Additionally, the VP will oversee day-to-day operations of remote care services, ensuring efficient, effective, and scalable workflows while ensuring full compliance with HIPAA, federal and state telemedicine regulations, and other applicable healthcare laws.
The VP will manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for remote care operations across all clinic sites and will work to optimize remote workflows and virtual patient journeys, enhancing patient experience, reducing wait times, and increasing care accessibility. Collaborating with clinical leaders, the VP will define and enforce clinical protocols, documentation standards, and quality benchmarks, and will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, service utilization, and operational efficiency.
Overseeing the implementation and integration of telehealth platforms, EHR systems (including AdvancedMD), and other supporting technologies, the VP will also work closely with IT teams to ensure a secure and scalable infrastructure for telehealth services. The role requires identifying and implementing innovative technologies and best practices to enhance service delivery while providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders on performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
The VP will foster cross-functional collaboration between remote care, clinic operations, medical staff, and administrative teams and will lead initiatives related to workforce training, upskilling, and education on telemedicine protocols and technologies. Representing the organization externally, the VP will handle matters related to telemedicine, regulatory engagement, and healthcare partnerships. The role also ensures that all remote care services adhere to industry standards for privacy, safety, and clinical excellence, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to cybersecurity, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Business, or a related field (required). Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or related) is HIGHLY preferred.
Leadership Experience: 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with at least 5 years specifically in telemedicine or digital health operations.
Remote Care Expertise: Proven track record of successfully scaling remote care models across multiple clinic locations or healthcare organizations.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of telehealth platforms, EHR systems (specifically AdvancedMD), and innovations in digital health technologies.
Specialized Care Knowledge & Compliance: Strong familiarity with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and medically supervised weight loss programs (highly desirable). Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, healthcare quality standards, and risk management. Experience with locations in multiple states HIGHLY preferred.
