TITLE: Growth Marketing Technical Program Manager
LOCATION: Culver City, CA
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12 months
The Growth Marketing Operations Team plays a key role in enabling on-device communications and automated messaging for our organization's media products and services. The team focuses on the timely delivery, strategy, and execution of in-app messaging sent to millions of users across multiple services.
As a Technical Program Manager focused on Data & Privacy within Growth Marketing Operations, you’ll use your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams that enable data & ML models and decrease privacy risks for our users by implementing more effective controls in data and associated information systems so that our growth messaging keeps our users’ privacy at the forefront of everything we do.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Growth Marketing stakeholders to support the design, build and execution of Data Enablement & Privacy program for the Data Signals and ML models needed for Growth Marketing Operations.
- This person will play a critical role in bringing together global cross-functional teams and ensure timely and accurate execution. You will:
- Communicate: Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed to the Growth Marketing Operations team.
- Coordinate: Lead discussions with Engineering, Growth Project Managers and other technical program managers to define requirements that translate Growth Marketing use-cases into detailed technical documentation needed for Privacy & Legal reviews, and marketing platform users in Growth Marketing Operations. Break down complex issues into discussion topics, maintaining an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration.
- Plan: Create and manage Data Enablement & Privacy project schedules for Data Signals and ML models with clear dependencies, critical path and systematic methodology to communicate status. Manage risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant. Drive alignment across the organization and between teams.
- Execute: Drive on time approval and delivery of data signals and ML models, identifying privacy & legal dependencies and feasibility needs, establishing achievements for checkpoints and status updates.
- Problem solve: Proactively identify issues and solutions, and marshal resources necessary to attack and resolve. Guide Engineers on implementation decisions impacted by compliance, privacy, safety or security policies or best practices.
Requirements:
- 10 years experience managing large cross-functional teams that require a deep understanding of technical design, back-end architecture, and data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Growth Marketing initiatives and consumer lifecycles.
- Experience working with privacy or legal aspects of consumer facing applications,
products, and services a plus
- Experience leading projects that involve Data and/or ML integration into automated
marketing messaging and/or consumer-facing applications. Working knowledge of propensity models, A/B testing, Bayesian statistics, personalization, and/or reinforcement learning.
- GenAI technical expertise in building and deploying Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using Large Language Models (LLMs). Experience with vector databases (Chroma DB, Pinecone, etc) and hands on experience implementing embedding models for efficient document/knowledge retrieval.
- Strong applied experience defining projects, collecting and documenting requirements, coordinating efforts to scope, and finding solutions.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate and drive release schedules. Thorough understanding of testing, build and release processes for complex software projects.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and to all levels of management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively and influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $80.00 to $88.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
