This role will be based in the Washington DC area. It is a hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Reston, VA office.
- Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for high-value opportunities, including identifying key customer needs, competitive analysis, win themes, and pricing strategies.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of capture managers, assigning responsibilities based on individual strengths and expertise, and providing guidance on complex capture pursuits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential clients, understanding their priorities and requirements to tailor capture strategies accordingly.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of all proposal documents, including technical volumes, management plans, and pricing strategies, by leading cross-functional teams through the proposal process.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors, identifying their strengths and weaknesses to develop differentiated winning strategies.
- Work closely with business development, technical teams, legal, and finance departments to align capture strategies with overall company goals and ensure successful execution. Support overall corporate growth
- Monitor capture performance metrics such as win rate, proposal quality, and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, government regulations, and emerging technologies to identify potential new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall business development strategy, identifying target markets and prioritizing opportunities based on market potential.
- 8-10 years proven track record of success in complex business development and capture management, particularly within government contracting or specialized industries.
- Deep understanding of the proposal development process, including compliance requirements and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including market research, competitive analysis, and win probability assessments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as project management, engineering, or computer science
