We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
- Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to enhance their appearance and longevity.
- Carry out custodial duties in various facilities, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely after use.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of residential painting is an advantage but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
